Slides, dolphins and a lava river in Costa Adeje

Aqualand Costa Adeje is the only park on the island that combines a water park and a dolphinarium in one site: 55,000 square metres of slides, pools and children's areas a few minutes from Siam Park, in the heart of Costa Adeje.

Its big difference from other parks in the south is the dolphinarium, with a daily show at 15:30 starring bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus), and the Lava River, a lazy river over 500 metres long that runs through much of the site.

01Slide and artificial waterfall at Aqualand Costa Adeje

Slides and areas for the whole family

The park has nine slides of varying intensity: the Kamikazes (two parallel, steeply inclined lanes), the Tornado (a centrifugal drop into a funnel), the Flying Boats (two 272-metre slides that intertwine in a spiral) and the Multisurf, with six lanes and 100 metres to race down at full speed. For a gentler pace there are the Lava River (over 500 metres long), the Wave Pool and the Vulcano Spa, an outdoor jacuzzi; and for the little ones, Pirate Island, Pirate Port and the Kids Pool. All these family areas are heated to 24 degrees.

The Aqualand dolphinarium

Aqualand houses around ten bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) and stages a daily educational show at 15:30 that the park itself presents as one of the best rated in the world by IMATA. Anyone who wants something closer can book a dolphin encounter at the ticket office, separate from the entrance ticket (from age 5 at the pool's edge, from 135 cm to enter the water); places are limited, so it is best to book as soon as you arrive.

In the heart of Costa Adeje

The park is in San Eugenio Alto, inside the hotel area of Costa Adeje, a short distance from Siam Park and beaches such as Fañabé or El Duque. It has free parking for those arriving by car, something not all parks in the south offer at no cost, and many hotels in the area are a short walk from the entrance.

Book as soon as you arrive if you want the dolphin encounter

The dolphin encounter is not included in the general ticket: it is booked and paid for separately at the ticket office, and places are limited. If you're interested, book first thing when the park opens. It is also worth knowing that you can bring your own food and drink (except in glass containers): most recent reviews agree that the restaurants inside the park are expensive.

Frequently asked questions

We answer your questions

How much does Aqualand Costa Adeje cost?

From €35 for adults at the official ticket office; buying in advance on online platforms the price is around €37. Children up to 2 years or under 90 cm enter free, and Canary Islands residents have a reduced rate showing their ID.

Aqualand or Siam Park: which to choose?

It depends what you're after. Aqualand is smaller, usually has shorter queues even in August and is the only one with a dolphinarium; Siam Park is considerably bigger, with more spectacular slides and a larger wave pool. Many families with small children prefer Aqualand because it is more manageable, while those looking for adrenaline and scale tend to choose Siam Park. If your trip has room for both, there's no need to choose between them.

Is there a dolphinarium at Aqualand Costa Adeje?

Yes, it is the only water park in Tenerife with its own dolphinarium. It houses around ten bottlenose dolphins and stages a daily show at 15:30. A closer dolphin encounter can also be booked at the ticket office, separate from the entrance ticket, with limited places.

Can I bring food into the park?

Yes, you're allowed to enter with your own food and drink, as long as they don't come in glass containers. It is an option worth considering because, according to the most recent reviews, restaurant prices inside the park are high.

What are Aqualand Costa Adeje's opening hours?

Open 365 days a year: from 10:00 to 17:00 between September and June, and from 10:00 to 18:00 in July and August. The last entry is usually one hour before closing.

Is Aqualand in the north or south of Tenerife?

In the south, in Costa Adeje, the same tourist area where Siam Park is and a short distance from beaches such as Fañabé or El Duque.
